- START GR 001902 Small car park in forest near Harwood village.
- To find the car park turn off the minor road between Harwood Gate (017895) and Winter’s Gibbet where the road is signed to Harwood. After 200m turn left to follow car park signs to a small lay-
by. This is it! - Cycle back to the road and turn left through Harwood Village. At the first cross-
roads turn left for 300m to a ride at (997905). Turn right and follow the ride between pine trees for 1.5km. Turn right to an obvious 4- way junction at (992920) - Trend left (North) and follow this main forest track for 5km to Chartners (001957). Do not climb the hill past the building, but keep straight on along the track for another 1.8km to a T-
junction. Turn right and stay on the main track as it undulates and bends round. After a fast descent cross the Newbiggin burn then climb up to reach a cross- roads at (015946). Turn left to Fallowlees farm. - At the farm go straight on through a gate and along the edge of a field (bumpy) before the track widens and descends to cross the Fallowlees burn (021938). Climb steeply up. As the track flattens out trend left following markers for 300m to meet a well defined single-
track ascending from the reservoir. Turn right and follow this over moor- land. - Eventually the track leads to a gate at the edge of woods at (023923). Go through this and follow the farm track bending left to Greenleighton Farm. Go through two gates past a cottage then turn right to join the drive from the farm which leads to the road at (033916). Turn right past the car park and head south to meet the B6342. Turn right and follow the road due West for 4km back to the Harwood turn off.
