- START GR 991595 Road Junction (parking for 2 cars only)
- Head SW along road for 1km then turn first left down a track leading to Healey Mill. At hill bottom turn right through the ford and go past the house through a gate. Cycle steeply up, and follow the track through gates to the road at (992570)
- Turn left for 1km then turn right through a gate onto a forest ride (just before house on left). Reach road, and go straight across onto another ride. Follow this until it rejoins thye road at (008556)
- Turn right along road to T-junction then right along road for 3.2km to junction with B6306. Turn right for 900m (980547). Turn left onto narrow track (overgrown and easy to miss) which heads due W into forest and soon widens to join a major ride. Keep straight on for 2.5km to a green barrier. Turn right on tarmac for 100m then left through another barrier. Follow track to bend (947554) then keep straight on along muddy wet rutted track. Follow this. It improves to offer a rollicking technical descent.
- Reach tarmac and continue down to bend in road (930560). Turn right through gate along signed BW forking left down single-track after 100m. Follow this excellent track to a stile leading to a cottage by the river. Follow access track for 1.2km to (941580) then turn right steeply uphill on good track to Dukesfield.
- Bear left to road then straight non on same line to (963575). Turn right then left up narrow lane to Slaley. At end go straight on along the road to return to the start.
