- START GR340324 There are various pull-
ins up the Mosedale Valley - Follow Tarmac East then SE as it changes into stony/grassy track leading to Skiddaw House (287291) after 6km. Turn right onto the access road. Very stony. Follow this down and up to gate at top of col.
- Take great care on loose descent to tarmac road at (250322)
- Turn right on road for 4km to Longlands (266359). Fork right onto the Cumbria Way (BW) and climb over a spur. Stay on the track until it becomes tarmac once again and leads to a T-
junction at (312388) - Turn right for 2.7km to a x-
roads at Hesketh, then right again for 7km back to Mosedale village. - Turn right by the phone box to return to the start
