- START GR 124853 Car Park in Edale
- Follow the road WSW for 1km to Barber Booth. Turn right to Upper Booth and keep straight on for 3.5km to Jacob’s Ladder. Cross bridge and turn left to zig-
zag with push up to a wall then on track to Edale Cross. (081861) - Keep heading W for 2km to reach the access road to South Head Farm. Follow this downhill bearing right to a junction at (053861). Take hairpin left up loose track then grass to gate at high point. Descend other side to a x-
roads. - Turn left (SP) and climb over Mount Famine, through gate and over a col before descending past track end. Fork left at (072838) and descend into Roych Clough.
- Ford the streams before climbing steeply up and passing two plantations to reach the A625 at a T-
junction (092825) Cross straight over and follow road for 1.3km to a junction with B6061. Turn left for 2.2km (113816) - Fork right on bridleway keeping N of Eldon Hill for 2km to meet stony road at spot height 422. Turn left, up then down past Rowter Farm to meet the B6061 at (127827). Turn right, fork lleft to A625. Left at Aroadfor 600m then sharp left up towards Mam Tor. 40m after Col turn left over stile onto track leading along ridge of Lord’s Seat. After 2.5km turn right SP Chapel Gate. Follow this keeping right to rejoin minor road. Turn left and follow road back to start.
