- START GR 222690 Monsal Trail Car Park
- Follow the Monsal Trail for 3.8km. Pass under a road bridge then climb up the steps to reach the road which runs over it. Turn North and follow minor road to Great Longstone.
- Turn left for 200m then right towards Longstone Edge (198720). After 1.8km turn right at a bend onto a gravel track. Follow this straight on to the B6001 at (236736)
- Go over onto minor road and follow it to the A619 at Baslow. Turn right on A-
road for 250m then fork left onto B6012. Turn first right and climb steadily along narrow lane to Pilsley, turning left in village to reach B6048 at (241709) - Turn right for 450m then left onto minor road. Climb for 2km then descend steeply to return to the start.
