- START GR 258686 Car Park just off B6012 on edge of Chatsworth Park
- Head South from the car park to a dead-
end. Turn right and climb up the track to Carlton Houses. (245685). Go round edge of wood tuning left through a gate then bear right following markers through a field. Enter forest then bear left. Follow track to a signed bridleway keep left then right at junctions to (244670) - Head SW along track keeping right at junction to reach Bowling Green Farm. Keep straight on through gate to join track round quarry and follow it down to meet the A6 at (228669)
- Turn right along A-
road for 800m then turn left up a steep narrow lane. Climb to end of lane then through gate to reach minor road at (215667) - Turn left and continue to a bend at high point of road. Go straight ahead on a track to a barn, then turn left and follow the edge of the fields through gates to rejoin the A6 at (233662)
- Follow A6 for 2.6km to junction with B6012 at Rowsley. Turn up B6012 then first right into Chesterfield Lane. Climb steeply to a clear forest track on the left (just before cottage)
- Turn along this for 500m then fork left onto a bridleway down then up bearing right at stream then heading NE across fields to a minor road at (280676). Turn right and follow road for nearly 1km to a junction. Turn left and climb over Beeley Hilltop before descending to B6012. Turn right to return to the start.
