- START GR893658—Car Park near Malham Tarn.
- Turn right out of the Car Park and follow the road to a fork left at (856673) towards Langcliffe. After 3km turn right at sharp bend and shortly afterwards left through a gate onto a bridleway. (828654) Follow the track to a wood. Go through the trees and descend to a wall, keeping straight on to meet a minor road in Settle. (822638)
- Turn left, and keep left at each junction to a fork at (823633) Keep left again and climb steeply up at first. After 1km pass a farm drive on the right, and 150m after this take a good track left.
- Follow this for 1.8km . Just before you reach Stockdale farm fork left and climb up parallel to the stream below. Keep straight on over the fell to descend to a road at (892640)
- Turn left for 2.3km to a X-
roads (879664) and then right along the minor road back to the car park.
