A good route except for the section of A-road. Easy navigation but strenuous on the uphill sections

  

  

• START GR 168900 Tir-Aluinn Hotel  on the A835
• Start up the forest road which climbs ESE  (a sustained climb to warm you up from the start). After the forest continue to follow the track for 7km to Rhiddoroch Lodge. (236937)
• After the good descent cross the Rhiddoroch river and turn left onto a main track which leads to Loch Achall. (190951)
• At the west end of the loch take the right fork and follow the track down to meet the A835 just North of Ullapool (129949)
• Turn left back along the A835  for 6km back to the start
