- START GR028033 Opposite Folk Museum
- Start riding SW along the lane opposite the Folk Museum. Follow this as it becomes a forest ride, gradually ascending for 8.7km. 500m after the forest there is a track junction near some abandoned buildings at Carron (945997)
- Turn right, climbing up. After 300m the hillside steepens and the track swings left to avoid this. Plod on in your granny gear until you reach the summit, then enjoy an exhilarating descent to meet the B840 alongside Loch Awe. (889038)
- Turn right and follow the B-
road along the loch. After 7.8km, and about 1km before Eredine, turn right at the main entrance to Eredine Forest (963083). And follow the forest track steeply up at first until it ends at a track junction (986048) - Turn right onto a single-
track. After 1km cross wet, boggy moorland past Loch Leacann. Keep straight on trending left then right through the forest to descend very steeply (care) and rejoin the first lane you started on. - Turn right and ride easily back to the start.
