• START GR 940646 (Park near Fewsters Garage)
• Follow the minor road through Tyne Green and alongside the railway line. Cross under the A69 onto a track which leads to a bridge over the Tyne at Bridge End. (910661)
• Turn left and follow the road  to fourstones and the B6319. Follow the B6319 for 700metres before turning off towards Newbrough. Continue through Newbrough and up the hill to (862680) where a steep stony track goes off left.
• Follow the track  past Fell cottage to join a minor road  and on to cross roads at (836662)
• Turn right and first left. After 2km turn left downhill by some trees and enjoy a swooping downhill on tarmac to Haydon Bridge.
• Cross to the south of the river and take the minor road to (833633). Take the track uphill to Castle Farm.. Turn left to join the A686 . Opposite is a track through the forest which climbs steeply to start,  and then crosses open fields through gates to Threepwood (851632)
• Continue heading East to meet the minor road and follow this to Low Gate (903640)
• Join the B6305  and after just over 1km turn left to skirt Leazes Park, right at T junction (913642 ) and go steeply downhill (care) to the B6531. Straight across past the cricket club. Left at Tynedale Park and back to the start.
