• START GR084097 Thrunton Wood Car Park
•  From the car park follow the road south down the hill. Continue on the road up the hill. Just as the road levels out, and after a cottage on the right, a forest ride can be seen (092073)
•  Go over the stile and follow the ride as it gradually ascends. Later the ride becomes a well worn track which ascends more steeply after bending right. This leads to the ridge along Long Crag. Difficult technical cycling in the wet.
•  Stop for a well earned rest at the summit. Shortly after the summit the track turns right and descends steeply. Do not attempt to ride this section. Carry your bike to the bottom.  
• The track from here is difficult in winter and ascends following the line of the fence to the top of Hard Nab (054086)
• Just stay on the same singletrack (technically difficult but great fun) as it curves round to eventually meet the forest proper at (063091)
• Go into the forest, turn right for 50metres and reach a junction of forest rides.
• Follow the left hand track for an exhilarating and fast downhill.
• At the gate at the bottom of the hill turn right on the minor road back to the car park.
