- START GR 893288 Car Park near Cold Clough Wind Farm
- Head SE along the road for 4.5km. Turn left onto the bridleway which runs past the radio mast (935273). Keep straight on at T-
junction for 300m then turn left through gate onto bridleway. Descend grassy/stony track to another gate Keep straight on across very boggy land for 400m to reach the end of a farm track at (943293) - Turn right and follow the track descending past buildings to a junction by the stream. Turn left and climb steeply up to a road at (960290)
- Turn left and climb up past houses to a gate keep straight on over the ridge and down through another gate to the reservoir. Turn left round the house & copse then cross the dam. Turn right onto concrete track leading to the road at (947323)
- Turn left, and after 1km turn left after the car park and cross the dam of Widdop Reservoir. Turn right, and immediately after a stand of trees climb with difficulty to a junction with Burnley Way. Keep straight on up to a ridge. Contour round and descend slightly to a stream. Just after the stream on a right bend, a permissive bridleway heads SE (909322)
- Take this and follow narrow singletrack to Cant Clough Reservoir. Keep right of water to dam. Cross the dam and go through the gate onto a track. Descend to a stone bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left , climbing back up to the wind farm and car park.
