A short mainly off-
- START GR 734572 (Phone Box near Capel Curig
- From the A5 turn almost due south opposite the phone box as you come to Capel Curig from the east.
- After 500m fork right and join a steep track (FP). Follow this until it meets forest. Stay on the forest ride keeping left at three junctions, then straight on until you reach the road at Dolwyddelan
- Turn right for 300m then left over river. Take first left and follow the road until another bridge leads back across to the A470
- Turn left for 200m then turn right towards Fron Goch. Continue on this line climbing to meet the forest at 764551.
- Go straight on on a mixture of tracks to reach the A5. Just before the main road fork left back into the forest.. Climb up and after 1.4km at a T-
junction of tracks zig- zag left then right. - Continue to follow the forest track for 2km until it joins a tarmac road (752573)
- Follow this road back to the start
