- START GR971680 Centre of Rhayader.
- From the centre head SW between the churches and cross the bridge on the B4518. After 1km a bridleway is signed to the right. Take this and climb steadily through fields and then forest. Take left option after 800m (clearest track) and contour round to Ochr-
cefn Farm (949681) - Follow the track alongside the fence to join a tarmac road. After 500m turn sharp left up a farm track to Treheslog Farm (942688). Turn right across front of farm and follow the track round to aq stream. Cross the stream below the waterfall and continue to climb up to the road at (942696).
- Turn left and follow road for 1km to the highest point (Spot height .415). Turn very sharp right onto a single-
track. Climb a little then enjoy a magnificent descent down the ridge for over 2km to a Farm. Go through the gate turn right back to a junction at (959684) - Descend to the B4518 then turn left to return to Rhayader
