• START GR 838414—Forestry Car Park on edge of Crychan Forest
• Turn left along the road, then almost immediately left  onto a forest track which is followed for 2.1 km to a gate. Fork right  and follow the path alongside the wood for 700m then turn right back on yourself (825394) and descend into the .valley on a forest track to a junction at (838400)
• Turn right at the junction then right again. Climb to another junction and turn left to reach another cross roads. Turn left again (849390) for 500m the left again on the track to Cefn Coch (858397)
• Turn right through a gate after the large barn onto a track which crosses a field, goes along a ridge and eventually leads to a road at (872412)
• Turn right to the Chapel then  turn left onto a track  climbing between farm buildings . Keep climbing and follow a faint path alongside the wall. Continue keeping a fence on the right to cross a forest track. Keep climbing straight on to a junction at (869421)  Continue for 1km to another junction. (860425)
• Turn right and descend to another junction. Turn sharp left then immediately right onto a narrow bridleway leading out of the forest  onto a good track  to the A483 at (865452)
• Follow the A-road into Llanwrty Wells. Cross the river then turn left towards Abergwesyn. After 2km fork right to Kilsby then right again to Pen-y-banc Farm. Just before the farm (867487) fork right on a track leading into the forest and climb steeply to a forest ride (872493). Turn left and follow this for 1.9km to a bridleway left (872507)
• Turn down the bridleway (hard to spot) and descend steeply to Penybont. Dismount at the sign and walk through the yard. Cross the bridge to the road.
• Turn left and follow the road to the Chapel at Dinas Mill. (864477) Continue on up through the forest to join a road. Turn right towards the A483 at (861450) Cross over and keep straight on past Brynhynog until the track peters out then head for the gate at edge of forest. (860430). Straight on then fork right onto a forest track. Turn right at next junction and follow the forest track all the way to the road at (842415) Turn left to get back to the start.
