- Turn left from the car park and turn right at the main road. Turn second left towards Lllangenny Drop steeply to the village, cross the bridge then turn left then right to climb steeply through the village to a x-
roads at (243182) - Turn left for 1.7km. to a clear track to the left. Follow this down to the river. Go through the farmyard and bear left over the bridge to the road and a t-
junction at (256203) - Turn right along the road, forking left at three junctions until the road ends after Partrishow. (278228) Take the left fork here and climb steeply across the hillside before descending to a ford. 300m after the ford turn left up a narrow track. Cross one forest track and carry to another (264236). Turn left to a gate. Turn right after the gate and climb to the top of the col.
- From the col ignore the path to the Trig. Point on Crug Mawr and take a narrow little used track which leads due S through the heather (starting near a boundary stone). The track veers right when it reaches a stone wall. Keep alongside the wall un til it turns left beside a large cairn. Bear right here then swing left to a gate. Join a steep walled track at (242212) and descend to Hen Bant. Join the road and descend further to a t-
junction at (244205) - Turn left for 250m to a good track right down to the river. Follow the river NW to the second bridge, and then climb steeply up to Llanbedr. Go straight on at the church for 500m to a t-
junction at (234203) - Turn left and follow the road back into Crickhowell and the car park.
