- Route 1: START GR 187876 Car Park by the side of Ladyhower Reservoir
- Cycle along the road following the reservoir edge for 600m to (190870) then turn right and climb up the track to Crookhill Farm. Turn right after the farmyard and follow the track over the top of Hursthead Cote and down to Hagg Farm (164890)
- Turn right and follow the track to a minor road at (167910). Turn left and follow the road round the reservoir until it terminates. Keep straight on to a bridge over the river at (169950). Cross the bridge, turn left and right after 100m along a good track which is followed all the way round the reservoir joining tarmac and continuing to the A57 at (195864).
- Turn right and right after 350m back to the car park
- Route 2: START GR 148849 Castleton car park
- Leave Castleton via the A625 Easterly taking the left fork via Winnats. Turn right at the B6061 and left athe next junction to reach a minor road at (122832). Turn right to Edale and climb up. When the road begins to descend turn right onto a bridleway which leaqds directly to Edale.(123853)
- Turn right and follow the road for 3km turning left onto a bridleway 800m after the railway bridge. Climb up past Clough Farm and continue via descent into Jaggers Clough and up to a cross roads at (160876)
- Turn left and follow the track to a junction at (146890). Turn right and descend to the A57. Go straight across and up the track past Rowlee Farm. Climb up past the hairpin bends to a point on route 1 (164890). Turn right here and descend back to the A57. Cross straight over and on down to the river bridge. After crossing the bridge turn left and up through the woods past a sharp right back to the cross roads at (160876)
- Turn left and follow the Roman road to a railway bridge at (169847). Follow the minor road to Hope and then turn right back along the A625 to the start.
