- START GR 148849 Car Park in Castleton
- From the church head south keeping the church on your right to join a bridleway past Peverel Castle (ruins) which climbs steeply past limestone cliffs. Keep straight on at the high point to a field corner at (133806)
- · Bear right through the gate and down through the woods. At the drive junction turn left to the road. Turn right in to the village. At the T-
junction keep straight on for 250m to a track. Turn right on to this track which is followed over fields to a gate and track at (126814). Turn left and follow the track to the B6061 (113815) - Follow the B6061 to the A625 start at (128831). Turn left for 550m and turn up the minor road signed Edale. Just after the high point there are two bridleways to the right. Take the first of these which contours just below Mam Tor and then follows the ridge to Hollins Cross (138845)
- Take the right fork and descend steeply down a grassy slope through bracken to a wall. Keep to the wall until a gate leads to a steep stony track which leads back to Castleton.
