• START GR 217706 Hassop Car Park, Bakewell
• Head North along the Monsal Trail cycle-way for 350m to a bridleway left. Take this and join a walled track . Turn left after a gate (1.7km) and drop to a minor road (215690. Turn left to A619 and follow this S to a 4-way junction. Turn left and immediately right into Combes Road. And follow the road to Coombes Farm.
• Continue to climb to a four way junction of tracks (243670). Turn sharp right then fork right past Bowling Green Farm. At the farm take the narrow bridleway which goes round an old viaduct to a bridleway/track junction at (229671)
• Turn right along the bridleway alongside the river. After 500m bridleway turns right to climb up to a track (gate) continue to join the Monsal Trail disused railway line once again at (230679) near the railway bridge (gate)
• Follow the trail all of the way back to the start.
