Pleasant route with multi stepping stones
- START GR 647788 Postbridge Car Park
- Follow minor road to Bellever (655774). Turn left and then right into the Forest car park. Follow the forest track to a junction at (658758) , then bear left past Laughter Hole House, along a walled track onto a bridleway signed Babeny before descending to the river East Dart. Cross the river and continue on the bridleway to Brabeny (672752)
- Bear south from Brabeny following the track to a bridge over the river and on through Brimpts Farm to meet the A384 at (665735). Turn right and first left towards Huccaby. After 320m turn sharp left onto a bridleway track, through a gate and down to stepping stones across the river (662725).
- Continue to follow the track uphill until it meets the track from Combestone. Turn right on this track and continue climbing to meet a minor road at (668719). Turn right and follow the road to Hexworthy forking left before the inn for 500m to a bridleway at (652726). Turn left along this to a wooden bridge across the River Swincombe and on to a cross roads of tracks at (634726). Turn right towards Sherberton then descend once again to cross the Swincombe via stepping stones and follow the riverside track to cross the West Dart and climb to A384 where you turn left to a track junction at (644746) Turn off the track and head due north along a field edge past Bellever Tor
- Go through gate. Turn right and follow bridleway down steeply to forest track. Turn left for 800m to a crossroads. Turn left on bridleway into the forest and follow forest tracks back to Postbridge.
