• START GR 896406 Car Park at Dunkery Gate
• Go up the hill from the car park and take the second track to the left. This climbs steadily on good terrain up to the cairn at the top of Dunkery Hill (892416).
• Turn left at the top and follow the lower path which descends below the ridge to the road at (861411) Turn left for 900m to a cross-roads.
• Turn left through a gate onto a track, and follow this across the moor to a second gate. Pass through the gate and descend steeply and with care past buildings to the road at (867387)
• Turn left and follow the B3224 for 1.4km to a fork with a minor road. Opposite this fork is a gate. Go through the gate ad follow the edge of the field until it becomes a track leading to a tarmac road at (886396). Turn left then right over the river and climb to a junction.
• Turn sharp right and follow the road for 2km to a junction with a track (903396)
• Turn up the track running parallel to a minor road, then join the road higher up.
• Turn left and follow the road back to the car park.
