- START GR 977423 Nutcombe Car Park & Picnic Site
- Take the main track up past the playground. Take the first right fork to reach a junction at (977412). Turn right and climb to a cross-
roads. Turn left and follow the track, climbing steadily for 1.8km past several junctions to a x- roads by a stream (977397) - Turn left to a junction of 6 tracks. Take the first left and descend Withycombe Scruffles. After 1.4km track turns left beside stone tablet and descends to a stream (987413). Turn right and continue on down bearing left at the bottom to join the track along the valley bottom to a junction at (980424)
- Turn right and right again to reach the A396.
- Turn left for 450m then right past Aville Farm. Cross stream and continue to road. Go straight across onto a steep narrow track. Zig-
zag up to a T- junction with a wider track. (971437) - Turn right keeping to ridge for 1km. Continue on into trees then zig-
zag down to meet the A396 at the foot of Grabbist Hill. Turn left along the A- road for 350m to a minor road right over Gallox Bridge and a bridleway at (990431) - Turn right through the gate and climb up track. Just after it bears left (750m) a singletrack bridleway on the left leads steeply down to the road.
- Turn right to return to the car park.
