Good Single-track and forest trails

  

  

• START GR 131433 Car Park off Wotton Common—50m N of Junction with Greensand Way
• Where Greensand Way crosses the minor road Leith Hill Road, head due west for 200m along Greensand Way. At the corner of the forest/open area leave the main trail and head on down through the woods past Upfolds Farm to meet the B2126 at (114433)
• Turn left for 200m and then right onto a marked bridleway which meets tarmac at Holmbury Hill Road. Turn right for 200m and then left up a steep bridleway leading to a five way junction. Go straight on, bearing right at the next fork  and keeping straight on descending to a x-roads at (107449)
• Turn left for 200m then left again to follow an ascending track for 2km to the view point at Holmbury Hill (429104). Keep straight on down a very steep descent (carry?). At the road turn left and follow to join the B2126 at Holmbury (112441).
• Turn right and immediately left up Pasture Wood Road for 200m turning right onto a bridleway just after the corner which leads to High Ashes Farm. Turn left to Leith Hill road and at the junction with Leyland Road turn South East onto a bridleway which leads to Leith Hill Tower.
• 200m after the tower turn left down the ravine and follow the track for 2.7km towards Home Farm (135456) Turn sharp right just before the farm to Home Cottage then climb steeply for 500m to join Wolvens Lane. Turn right and follow the lane for over 2km to Crockers Farm (151441). Turn right behind the houses and steeply up past the cricket square and on to Leith Hill Tower. Straight on and descend to the road. Turn right to return to the start.
