• START GR 659925 Car Park on Bransdale Road
• Turn right out of the car park, and at the bend in the road head straight on up Westside Road (track). Climb steadily for nearly 3km. Continue to a cross-roads at (641975). Carry on for 1.25km until a path joins from the right. A less well defined track goes left. Take this track which descends to a corner of the wood below and then down a rutted track to the road at (625982)
• Turn left along the road, forking left at Spout House. Climb steeply at first and continue to follow the road all the way back to the car park.
